itch.io provides a launcher application which is the best way to install and use AI Runner as it alerts you to the latest versions of AI Runner and allows you to rollback to previous versions.

Launch AI Runner from the itch.io application

To launching AI Runner from within the itch.io application, simply click any of the the AI Runner icons (circled in the image below)

Check for updates

The itch.io launcher application will automatically keep AI Runner up-to-date (or alert you when an update is available). If you would like to manually check for updates, right click the application and click Check for update in the context menu that is displayed.

Run AI Runner from command line

Launching AI Runner from command prompt is a great way to capture any errors that may occur which prevent you from using AI Runner as intended. When you launch AI Runner from the itch.io launcher application, the command prompt is typically not displayed, so in order to run AI Runner from the command prompt you must follow the proceeding steps.

First, open a command prompt

1. Press the windows key
2. Type Command prompt
3. Click the Command Prompt application to run it

Next, in the itch.io launcher application, right click the AI Runner, then click Open folder in explorer in the context menu that is displayed

An explorer window will open to the location that AI Runner is installed. Inside that folder is a file called airunner.exe.

Now, copy the path from the explorer window

In the command prompt window type cd then right click to paste the path you copied in the previous step (or manually type the path), then press enter.

Now you should be able to type airunner.exe to launch the application. Lots of text will display and AI Runner should launch
